Satay by the Bay revives the nostalgic charm of seaside satay culture in a stunning open-air setting within Gardens by the Bay. Nestled along the Waterfront Promenade with views of the Marina Bay waterfront, this hawker-style dining destination is ingeniously designed as a giant canopy that invites cooling sea breezes while patrons feast on charcoal-grilled skewers and local classics. The star attraction is, of course, the satay—succulent skewers of marinated chicken, beef, mutton and seafood grilled over charcoal and served with rich peanut sauce, rice cakes, fresh cucumber and onion. Beyond satay, stalls dish out an enticing array of Singaporean favourites including BBQ chicken wings, chilli crab, sambal stingray, Hokkien mee cooked over charcoal, fried rice, noodles and refreshing sugarcane juice. Notable vendors include City Satay, Geylang Serai Satay, Boon Tat BBQ Seafood and Geylang Lorong 29 Fried Hokkien Mee. Open from 9:00 am till 10:30 pm daily with food service from 11:30 am on weekdays, Satay by the Bay truly comes alive after sunset when lanterns glow, charcoal smoke fills the air, and the Supertree Grove provides a magical backdrop.
