This August, the Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay lights up with a National Day edition of the beloved Garden Rhapsody light and sound show. Songs of Singapore runs every evening from 1 to 31 August 2026, showcasing local musical talent against the iconic backdrop of the Supertrees, and it is completely free to attend.
A Celebration of Local Talent
The National Day edition features music by four of Singapore's most distinctive vocal artists: Aisyah Aziz, Joanna Dong, Linying and Rani Singam. Their voices, recorded in collaboration with the Gardens, are paired with beloved Singapore classics and original compositions that celebrate the nation's rich heritage and cultural diversity.
Garden Rhapsody is a signature Gardens by the Bay experience that changes its soundtrack through the year, from Star Wars editions in May to Christmas specials in December. The August National Day edition has become a perennial favourite for both locals and visitors marking Singapore's birthday month under the glowing canopies of the Supertrees.
Two Shows Nightly
Each evening features two shows to accommodate crowds:
- First show: 7.45pm
- Second show: 8.45pm
Each show runs approximately 15 minutes. The Supertrees' canopies are choreographed to the music in a synchronised light display that has become one of Singapore's most photographed free attractions.
Best Viewing Spots
- OCBC Skyway, an elevated vantage point offering a panoramic view of the light display (separate ticket required).
- Under the Supertree, lying on the ground beneath the Supertree Grove offers a unique upward perspective as the canopy transforms.
- Supertree Grove lawn, the classic viewing spot, where the trees become a sea of lights and sound. Arrive early on weekends and National Day for the best positions.
