The Bayfront area is ground zero for the best of Singapore this July and August. From National Day fireworks lighting up Marina Bay to F1 exhibitions, immersive art, and Supertree light shows, here is everything happening around Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, and the waterfront.
NDP 2026 Fireworks: Where to Watch Near Bayfront
Singapore turns 61 this year under the theme "Go Beyond!" The National Day Parade returns to the National Stadium at Kallang on Sunday, 9 August 2026, with an extended long weekend (Monday 10 August is the public holiday).
Despite rumours, fireworks are definitely still happening. The official NDP programme confirms they will feature alongside Singapore's first-ever indoor drone light show. Best of all, you do not need tickets to catch them.
NDP Rehearsal & Fireworks Dates
Fireworks can be seen on every Saturday evening during rehearsals, with the first burst around 7:43pm and the grand finale later in the evening:

Best Bayfront Fireworks Viewing Spots
Gardens by the Bay, Combine fireworks with an evening stroll among the Supertrees. The open lawns near The Meadow offer unobstructed views. Combine with the Garden Rhapsody light show (7:45pm or 8:45pm) for a full night out.
Marina Barrage, The rooftop lawn is a family favourite. Wide open space, picnic-friendly, and panoramic views across Marina Bay. Arrive by late afternoon to secure a good spot; it fills fast.
Merlion Park, The iconic backdrop for fireworks photos. Gets extremely crowded, so arrive very early if you want front row.
Esplanade Waterfront, Clear views across the bay with easy MRT access. Less crowded than Merlion Park but still central.
Helix Bridge / Bayfront Bridge, Standing spots with unique angles of the skyline and fireworks. Not for picnicking, but excellent for quick photo stops.
Shake Shack One Fullerton, Running a "Shack Night with Fireworks" bundle for two on all rehearsal dates. Reserved alfresco seating, burger bundles, and front-row bay views from 7pm–9pm. Ticketed; register at Shake Shack Singapore.

Singapore Garden Festival (Until 12 July)
The 10th edition is in full swing with the 8-metre Floral Roller Coaster, Floral Vortex orchid tunnel, interactive light installations, and the Show Gardens: All-Stars Edition. Read our full guide here.
Orchid Extravaganza: Rhythm of the Rainforest (Until 10 August)
Over 7,000 orchids take over the Flower Dome in partnership with Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy. Giant handwoven anyaman sculptures from coconut leaves and bamboo, traditional Sumbanese houses with soaring roofs, and multi-tiered Balinese Meru towers transform the space into an immersive Southeast Asian rainforest. Included with Flower Dome admission (S$12 for residents).
Bonus: From 4–12 July, the Flower Dome also hosts the Singapore Orchid Show with 360 competitive orchid entries. Scan QR codes at the exhibits for a chance to win a pair of return flights to Bali courtesy of Garuda Indonesia.
Formula 1 Exhibition Singapore (From 23 July to 18 October)
A major win for motorsport fans: the award-winning Formula 1 Exhibition arrives in Asia for the first time at Gardens by the Bay MRT Plaza. Seven immersive rooms span 75+ years of F1 history, featuring iconic cars, rare artefacts, and hands-on race simulators. Opens 11am daily (until 9pm from 23 Jul–2 Aug, then until 8pm from 3 Aug onwards).
Borealis: Northern Lights at Supertree Grove (Every Sat, Sun & Mon)
Experience the Northern Lights in Singapore with Borealis, an immersive light and sound installation at Supertree Grove. Shows run 8:00pm–8:30pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Free admission. Canceled if it rains.
Garden Rhapsody, Songs of Singapore (1–31 August)
August brings a National Day edition of the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show at the Supertree Grove. "Songs of Singapore" features specially commissioned music by local artists Aisyah Aziz, Joanna Dong, Linying, and Rani Singam, pairing Singapore classics with the Supertrees' iconic light choreography. Two shows nightly: 7:45pm and 8:45pm. Free.
Lilytopia (21 August – 27 September)
A brand-new display at the Flower Dome: Journey to ancient Egypt, where lilies, water lilies, and lilies of the Nile bloom alongside a majestic recreation of the Dendera Temple. Hieroglyphic art and Egyptian sculptures complete the Pharaoh-inspired setting. Included with Flower Dome admission.
Cloud Forest featuring Jurassic World (Ongoing)
Life-sized animatronic dinosaurs roam the misty landscapes of the Cloud Forest. An immersive adventure inspired by the blockbuster franchise. Open daily 9am–9pm.
Disney Garden of Wonder at Floral Fantasy (Until 14 March 2027)
23 Disney and Pixar character topiaries across six themed zones at Floral Fantasy. First-time Disney Princess installations, Rapunzel, Belle, and Jasmine, plus a dedicated Frozen setting with Anna and Elsa. Included with Floral Fantasy admission (S$12 for residents).
David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (Until 31 August)
An immersive journey into David Hockney's art through larger-than-life projections and vivid soundscapes at the IMBA Theatre (West Lawn, beside Bayfront Plaza). Open Mon–Thu 10am–7pm, Fri–Sun and PH 10am–8pm.
Botero: A Life in Fullness (Until 31 August)
Celebrating the Colombian master's signature voluminous figures at a dedicated exhibition space in Gardens by the Bay. Last admission at 6pm.
Marina Bay Sands: What's On
SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW (15–26 July)
The multi-award-winning theatrical clown show by Slava Polunin comes to the Sands Theatre. Winner of the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment and a Tony Award nominee. The show's legendary snowstorm finale has been leaving audiences spellbound for decades. Tickets from S$78 at marinabaysands.com.
Singapore Adventure Expo (24–26 July)

Andrew Rayel at MARQUEE (11 July)
The trance heavyweight takes over MARQUEE Nightclub at Marina Bay Sands. Doors at 10pm.
Rooted in Movement: Dance & Mindfulness (25 July)
Gardens by the Bay hosts a gentle dance and mindfulness session at the Ficus Room, Active Garden. 3pm–4:30pm. Reconnect with breath, senses, and inner calm through yoga-inspired movement. Free admission.
Sensory Moments, Orchid Extravaganza (18 July)
From fragrant flowers and curious textures to edible species, discover the many adaptations by which orchids flourish. Held at the Australian Garden and Flower Field, Flower Dome. 2pm–5pm.
