花穹 Flower Dome takes the third Gardens by the Bay Christmas Train Show, 滨海湾花园圣诞列车之旅, from Friday 20 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. Hours are 9am to 9pm. Last entry is 8.30pm. There is no extra ticket. You pay the usual Flower Dome admission. Official copy this year sends the miniature railways through the United States, an expanded Singapore rail scene, then snowy Rovaniemi in Finland, Santa's hometown on the Arctic Circle.
What actually sits in the Flower Field
The show lives in the Flower Field at the centre of Flower Dome, not on the outdoor promenade and not under the Supertrees. Official text for 2026 is short and specific. Trains first pass botanical models of railway stations from the American West Coast, East Coast and heartlands, the same American under-the-tree tradition the Gardens imported in 2024. Closer to home, two SMRT trains run beside reimagined MRT stations designed by architecture students at the National University of Singapore. That is new. Last year's Singapore stretch had one G-scale North-South and East-West Line replica. This year they doubled the local trains and handed the stations to NUS.
The last stop is Rovaniemi. The official page talks about Santa's toy factory, post office, reindeer sleigh, and a Finnish sauna break. Denmark's LEGO Nyhavn from 2025 is not on this year's list. Floral details can still change. The calendar says so in one line. I would not treat a 2025 photo of a Danish steam train as a map of 2026.
The photographs here are camera stills of this conservatory during earlier editions of the same show. Green locomotive, gift wagon, poinsettias, kids at the track edge. That is the Flower Field at knee height. The 2026 key visual on the Gardens site is a composite poster with a sunset, two reindeer and Santa's workshop. Pretty. Not the room.
Tickets, the 16 November close, the gap after sunflowers
Singapore residents can buy Flower Dome on its own. The Gardens FAQ lists resident adult S$12, senior aged 60 and above S$8, child aged 3 to 12 S$8, GST in. Non-residents do not get a Flower Dome-only line. They buy Flower Dome and Cloud Forest together at S$46 adult and S$32 child. Resident combo for both conservatories is S$34 adult, S$29 senior, S$26 child. Proof of residency can be asked at the counter or the gate. No proof means an upgrade. Buy on the Gardens site, the app, or the Canopy ticketing counters.
Sunflower Surprise, the Portugal display, ends Monday 9 November. Flower Dome then shuts the whole day on Monday 16 November for maintenance. The train show opens four days later. Do not turn up on the 16th expecting poinsettias. Cloud Forest is listed closed 17 November, so that is not a swap day either. One cooled conservatory closes at a time. On 16 November you can still buy Cloud Forest on its own if you only wanted a dome.
I would not plan this as a free walk. Outdoor gardens stay 5am to 2am. Flower Dome does not. Ages 2 and under are free on the usual resident child rule at other attractions. Confirm at the counter for Flower Dome if you are carrying a toddler.
How to walk it without doing the whole tourist loop
Bayfront MRT, CE1 and DT16, Exit B, is still the useful station. The sheltered link dumps you toward the gardens. Flower Dome is the glass hill on the Bay South side, past The Canopy ticketing counters. A shuttle loops Bayfront Plaza, Active Garden and Flower Dome about every ten minutes if the heat is ugly. Gardens by the Bay MRT on the Thomson-East Coast Line, TE22, is closer to Marina Barrage than to this door.
Once you are inside, the baobabs and the succulent walk are permanent. The train layout occupies the Flower Field in the middle. Previous years put tracks at ground level, on bridges and on overhead trails. Kids crowd the rail. Adults who wanted a quiet olive-tree photo learn that fast. Recommended visit on the Flower Dome page is an hour. With trains, budget more if you have a small person who will not leave the loop.
Garden Rhapsody at Supertree Grove is still 7.45pm and 8.45pm, free, and switches to Garden Waltz on 1 November, then a Christmas Special from 29 November. That grove is a separate walk from Flower Dome. Christmas Wonderland, the ticketed outdoor night market that used to box off the grove, is not on the official 2026 calendar as of mid-October. Check before you assume the grove floor is free on a December Saturday.
Satay by the Bay on this waterfront is already closed. Jurassic Nest Food Hall is the indoor fallback, cafe 9am to 9pm, food hall 11am to 9pm with last order 8.30pm. Cyclists are off the Bay South waterfront promenade until the Bay South to Bay East bridge is built. Pedestrians still pass, with a diversion. The Gardens posts the map.
